VIDEO: Michael Baldwin vs Kane Hodder

It's time for another video from deep within the Phantasm Archives, this one coming from the 2008 Monster Mania convention in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Watch as Michael Baldwin and Jason Voorhees actor Kane Hodder, who were seated next to one another all weekend in the autograph room, clown around with a convention-goer and debate the merits of choking fans. Watch also as Kane JerkFace Hodder knocks over what was left of my morning coffee, presumably by accident. Continue reading for the video hijinks.

(I'm kidding. Kane is a swell person... to be choked by.)

Phantasm Timeline

If you've ever been stupefied by the space-time continuum hijinks of the Phantasm series, you can put your overworked mind to rest. Francisco Gabaldón (aka The Spanish Phan) has valiantly written a broad chronicle of Phantasm history to help make sense of it all. Continue reading to traverse his completed timeline.

VIDEO: Phantasm Cast at Fangoria 2008

The past thirty years have seen numerous appearances by Phantasm cast and crew at Fangoria horror conventions. In 2008, it was announced that Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister would be making return visits. What horror fans didn't expect, however, was a surprise appearance by Michael Baldwin on Day Two of the convention, who dropped in to sign a few autographs and chat with fans. Here you can view excerpts of Angus Scrimm's Q&A as well as a surprise reunion when Michael slips into Reggie's autograph line! Continue reading for the video.

Set Report: Phantasm III

Time for a genuine treat from one of Phantasm's own insiders, journalist Todd Mecklem, who just happened to be around during the productions of Phantasm III and Phantasm IV. Collected for the Phantasm Archives and joined with a slew of rare photographs is this Phantasm III set report of filming at Angeles Abbey in Compton. Todd maintains a spiffy website and blog, which you can visit at ToddMecklem.com. Continue reading for his set report or click the image below.

Gallery: Baldwin at Monster Mania 2008

I've just returned from the excellent Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and I'm armed with a fresh batch of photos from the recent Monster Mania convention held there. The sole Phantasm guest was series lead Michael Baldwin, whom phans were very eager to meet after Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister's appearances last year. Michael's table was wedged between the beautiful Ellie Cornell (of the Halloween films) and Jason actors Kane Hodder and CJ Graham. Continue reading for a look at the photos.

Gallery: Cast at Fright Night Film Fest 2008

I've just recently returned from the Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Kentucky where Phantasm stars Angus Scrimm, Michael Baldwin and Reggie Bannister turned out for three days of meet and greet with the fanbase. Returning with me are a handful of fun photos from the weekend, including pics from a local drive-in screening of the original Phantasm that Angus, Michael and Reggie personally hosted. There was actually a fourth Phantasm guest in attendance, Phantasm II dwarf actor Felix Silla, who also played Cousin It on the original Addams Family television show. Continue reading for the photos.
