New Music Video with Michael Baldwin

Everyone's favorite boooooooy, Michael Baldwin, is back in a new music video from band Lucid Dementia. Directed by Justin Warren, Michael plays "The Conjurer" in this super spooky short. Chock full of great makeup effects and a creepy location, "It Came From the Dead" is sure to be enjoyed by Phantasm phans. Turn down the lights, turn up the volume and watch it below!

Exhumed Book Press

I'm a little late with this, but yours truly's upcoming book, Phantasm Exhumed, received several press mentions this month. You can expect book excerpts and photo exclusives across the next several weeks in anticipation of the book's release next month!

Don Coscarelli teases "A Good Year"

In an interview with HorrorCultFilms.co.uk, Don Coscarelli teases big things for 2014, which marks the 35th Anniversary of the original Phantasm. The quote goes like this:

And so we’ve been talking about trying to get something together. 2014 is going to be a good year for Phantasm because of the 35th anniversary, if you can believe it, from the release of the original movie. We got a couple of things we’re hooking up, so hopefully this’ll be the year for it.

These "couple of things" are in addition to the gigantic 35th Anniversary reunion happening at Chicago's Flashback Weekend convention this August. It's set to be an exact recreation of the lineup offered five years ago for the 30th Anniversary reunion: Don Coscarelli, Angus Scrimm, Michael Baldwin, Reggie Bannister, Bill Thornbury and Kathy Lester.

These "couple of things" also don't include my book, Phantasm Exhumed, which is due for release next month. Yes, it's going to be a very good year for phans!!

Phantasm Exhumed

You've heard whispers about it for a while now, but the time of my upcoming book, Phantasm Exhumed, is nearly at hand. You can check out the newly released cover artwork to your right (click to enlarge) and track updates on the book blog. Elsewhere on the internet, horror writer John Squires put together a nice rundown of the book's offerings in a piece for HalloweenLove.com.

And to think, all it took was a little digging.

New website - PhantasmCudas.com!

Alright internet, here comes the Chief Archivist's last post on The Phantasm Archives for 2013. See you all next year!

Arguably one of the most memorable movie vehicles in horror history, the great Hemi-Cuda's of Phantasm get a lot of phan love, which has now resulted in the creation of a website! Phantasm Community member CudaCharger aka the crafty Don Almeido has founded Phantasm Cudas.com in order to "preserve the memory of the most sinister muscle car to ever roam the streets of the silver screen." Sounds good to me!

Over at his site, you can check out vintage articles about the car, see rare photos and read about what has since happened to the movie vehicles. Definitely worth a look!

For the Spanish-Speaking Phans...

I wanted to take a moment in these last few hours of 2013 to tell you about a great new fan effort happening on Facebook, one that caters to Phantasm's many Spanish-speaking phans. Known around the world in such territories as Phantasma, there is now a Facebook group that celebrates the series in spanish! Me gustsa!

If you'd like to follow El Hombre Alto on Facebook, go here. Michael Baldwin, Kat Lester and Mark Shostrom already have - what are you waiting for!?

The Phantasm Model Kit You've Probably Never Seen

When you think about it, Phantasm is pretty unexploited when it comes to official merchandise and collectibles. Sure, we had that official Tall Man figurine from several years back, but where are the other characters in that particular line? Wouldn't you like to have Mike with dagger and flamethrower accessories? Reggie with four-barrel and tuning fork? Or how about Phantasm: Oblivion's Jennifer with detachable sphere bosom? Okay, nix that last one.

But what about masks? Deluxe 18" figures with sound? Prop replicas? Model kits? If you're especially hungry for a Tall Man model kit and you've got $500 to spare, CONTINUE READING and get ready to satiate your appetite.
