There's been a hint of news recently from an interview Reggie Bannister did with Big Daddy's Horror Reviews. Not content enough to simply ask about Phantasm V, Big Daddy pressed the actor about the super-hush Secret Phantasm Project, which Reggie says was ultimately nothing more than the filmmakers pre-visualizing, camera tests and such. Considering the project began filming back in 2008, it's now a real possibility that nothing will ever come of it.

Also worth mentioning is a new boxset from Universal Studios that includes Phantasm II along with The Funhouse, The Serpent and the Rainbow and Sssssss. While Amazon is selling it for an economical $7.49, my local Wal-Mart had it for a mere $5.

Angus Scrimm returning to Monster Mania

Angus Scrimm has been confirmed as a guest at Monster Mania 18, which has been dubbed "Return to Camp Crystal Lake" for its plethora of Friday the 13th guests. The event will take place June 3-5 in Hunt Valley, Maryland. More details are the show's official website. MM's ringleader, the great Dave Hagen, has been more than generous to phans over the years by bringing (sometimes repeatedly) Angus, Michael Baldwin, Reggie Bannister, Bill Thornbury, Kathy Lester and Don Coscarelli all to the East Coast.

Of all the countless ways the Tall Man has been immortalized, I'd say this ranks both as one of the smallest and most unique! eBay seller hauntedpirate09 has custom-created a Tall Man Lego figurine complete with silver sphere and cemetery base. Coscarelli shooting John Dies @TE

I'm a little tardy with this news, but if you haven't heard - Don Coscarelli is already well into shooting John Dies at the End. AintItCool broke the story with the photo to your right and Coscarelli's new Twitter account reveals more information.
